    还有5GRE就开班了。

    还是没开始系统背单词,闲散惯了,还真认真不起来。

    还是努力翻译The Importance of Being Earnest,目前第一幕已经完工,争取2个月内解决。

    三日不读书便觉言语无味,面目可憎。我现在只读一本书,那就是语言单一,表情呆滞了。

     

    昨天在线上看了余光中的《创作与翻译》,感觉还是受益匪浅的。

    先谈写诗,算是为自己正名。从亚里士多德说到第一个反对诗的柏拉图——把诗人逐出理想国,再到叶兹,旁征博引。

    再谈白话与文言,算是理浅疏译史。林琴南也是牛人,桐城派遗老,以文言翻译外国著作的高人。

    最后讲翻译,更多探讨中文应用得心应手的能力。“白以为常,文以应变”。不过讲座里面关于翻译的内容大意是出不了《余光中谈翻译》的。不过诗歌与创作的话题是不可多得的。

     

    里面有这么一句话,是作为节目宣传的广告的“直译硬译不过是活的标本”,不知道制片人有意还是无意,这一句话砍死了鲁迅,磨灭了他一生聊以自豪的翻译。

    余老认同的再创作理论,典范应该是傅雷译《约翰克利斯朵夫》了,让罗曼罗兰成为被外国人发现的本国作家。

    想起小时候在父亲书架翻书,跟家父说“瓜苦玉白”对仗挺工整的(那本书题目是从右往左印的),今天才听得《白玉苦瓜》作者亲自演说,当真感慨了。听余老自吟《乡愁》一诗,还真有些感动。听着听着也就会背了。

     

    《梵高传》、《老人与海》、《不可儿戏》。三部译著奠定翻译家身份,而《老人与海》是大学期间的作品,这翻译家之名只怕更多来源于翻译教学和诗人的光环了。应了先精深后博大,一专多能的理论,成了著名诗人后,散文家,翻译家的名号也就伸手可得了。余老的学养还是让人拜服的。
